An improved search feature is now available on Grants.gov. This “Simpler Search” makes it easier for users to discover federal funding opportunities that align with their unique specifications. It returns relevant results with enhanced search algorithms, a cleaner interface, better filters, and more sorting options.

After the tool debuted last year on the beta site Simpler.Grants.gov, we collected feedback, tested updated options with users, and refined it to ensure that it provides optimal search functionality and a streamlined user experience. In other words, it’s faster and easier to get your results and proceed to the application stage.

Simpler Search is located alongside the Classic Search option. Both can be found by selecting “Search Grants” under the main navigation menu on Grants.gov.

This update is part of a broader, multi-year effort to simplify the federal grants-issuing process. Its addition to Grants.gov helps us achieve our near-term goal of providing a more user-friendly, modern platform for both applicants and grantors.
